Bank History

Putnam County State Bank opened its doors in Unionville, MO on July 5, 1979. The premise of the bank upon its opening was to be locally owned, directed, and operated for the people of Putnam County and surrounding counties. With a small staff of 5, Putnam County State Bank set out to provide a valuable service to this area while staying competitive in the banking industry. In 1992, a branch office was opened in Milan, MO to better serve a larger area of the surrounding counties. Today, the bank has 24 employees, many of which have served for 20 years or more. There are still some of the original board of directors working to keep the bank a full service, community oriented institution for the local patrons.
